That must have been the thinking storming around the minds of MTV's producers when they began airing the relatively new series "16 and Pregnant". And yes. It is basically exactly that. Don't believe me? Click on MTV and prove me wrong. The thing that really bugs me is that viewers actually find this shit entertaining--it's a HIT. which brings me to my next point. 8 years ago, any girl who was pregnant at age sixteen was either: A) a slut B) a prostitute or C) a resident of the state of Alabama. Also, a sixteen year old mother should have her schedule FULL of baby - related errands and tasks. Being the star of a hit TV series should be the last thing on their minds.
